The Task Bucket Range

The Miller Compact Task Bucket Range – created for Mini and Midi Excavators

FEATURES

Created for Mini and Midi Excavators

We have built our reputation on developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of all our customers. The Compact Task Bucket Range, purposely created for mini and midi excavators is no exception to this rule and has been designed to work in synergy with Miller Compact Quick Couplers.

The Digging and Loading Scoop

With the proven benefits of the Scoop design for larger excavators, the compact Scoop and quick coupler combination provides the following features and benefits:

The Miller Compact Digging and Loading Scoop gives a higher bucket fill factor.

  • Machine digging power is enhanced through the reduced pin to point dimension.
  • Compact design is easier to manoeuvre and operate in confined spaces, providing greater machine stability in the digging cycle.
  • Easy fill action of the Scoop design gives a higher bucket fill factor and increased pay load.
  • The Scoop profile minimises ground resistance to improve digging cycle times.
  • Can be operated in face position for increased versatility.
  • Typical widths available include 18, 24, 30, 36 and 48 inches (varies depending on machine model).

The Trenching Scoop

Specifically designed to assist with correct width trench digging, the compact Scoop and quick coupler combination provide the following advantages:

Miller Compact Trenching Scoop is designed to assist with correct width trench digging.

  • A more accurate trench width can be achieved by simply selecting the appropriate width Scoop from the range available.
  • A narrower trench width can be achieved more quickly whilst reducing both waste and expensive backfill materials.
  • Easy fill action of the Scoop design gives a higher bucket fill factor and increased pay load.
  • The Scoop profile minimises ground resistance to improve digging cycle times.
  • Can be operated in face mode position for increased versatility.
  • Typical widths available include 6, 9, 12 and 18 inches (varies depending on machine model).

The Vertical Wall Bucket

Digging a vertical wall is a specialised task that can be made easier with a specialised bucket. The unique compact vertical wall bucket incorporates features of Miller’s other proven bucket designs to provide the following:

Digging a vertical wall is a specialised task that can be made easier with a specialised bucket.

  • A reduced pin to point dimension to allow easier manoeuvrability and precision digging in confined spaces.
  • Maximum vertical wall depth can be achieved at minimal reach.
  • With its finely tuned geometry this bucket has been designed for accurate vertical wall digging even at maximum reach.
  • Typical widths available include 6, 9, 12 and 18 inches (varies depending on machine model).

The Ditch Cleaning Bucket (DCB)

The Task Bucket Range would be incomplete without the compact Ditch Cleaning Bucket, which is ideal for the following:

The Miller Compact Ditch Cleaning Bucket

  • General light duty operations and site clearance.
  • Ditch and channel cleaning and maintenance.
  • Other tasks including grading and slope work.
  • Quick and efficient use within small working areas, safe and easy transportation when the DCB is attached to the machine.
  • Typical widths available include 30, 36, 48 and 60 inches (varies depending on machine model).

Task Bucket Selector

The following table lists a selection of site applications and shows how the four task buckets can be used in accordance with each task. By redefining the geometry of this bucket range Miller has tailor made each one to specific dimensions which enable them to perform with optimum ease and efficiency.

The combination of fast attachment changeover coupled with precision digging, loading and trenching can greatly increase machine efficiency and on-site productivity with the added bonus of potential fuel and material cost savings.

The Benefits of the Scoop

The Scoop was Miller’s answer to the perceived loss in digging power resulting from quick coupler use on larger excavators. Designed to minimise the additional pin-to-point distance gained when installing a coupler, the Scoop and coupler combination can help maximise excavator efficiency and versatility.

The Scoop profile enables the bucket to cut through the ground more effectively with minimal resistance and drag. The self fill action gives an increased pay load. These combined benefits result in time and fuel savings.
