The Magic of Mix Match

We were approached by a customer who had purchased a new large hydraulic excavator to work in a demolition environment. The customer however had many existing buckets and attachments from his previous large excavator that were now not able to work with his brand new machine.

It is common knowledge within our sector that demolition tools are certainly not inexpensive and so our customer approached us to see if we could assist him with his now expensive predicament. As his demolition tools were all the same pin diameter we suggested a fully automatic, fixed pin, durable coupler design that would enable him to enjoy all the benefits of the speedy and productive changeover of the quick coupler as well as being able to fully utilise all of his buckets/tools from his previous machine. A cost effective solution that not only increased this customer’s productivity but simultaneously saved him thousands.

Saudi Spectacular

A dealer in Saudi Arabia came to Miller with a request for a new quick coupler for a 120 tonne excavator. The customer required a coupler that could improve efficiency when changing from a ripper to different sized buckets. The machine was situated on the edge of the Red Sea and would be digging underwater so it was paramount that the cylinder inside the coupler was salt water protected.

Since their new coupler was installed, the customer has saved a great deal of time, improved productivity and increased profit margins.
